Fluorite optics deliver sharper images with less chromatic aberration, while a completely redesigned Image Stabilization system provides up to four stops of compensation. A newly developed Fluorine coating helps keep soiling, smears and fingerprints to a minimum, while dust- and water-resistant construction is designed for demanding environments. A third Image Stabilization mode activates IS only when the shutter button is fully pressed, making panning easier and positioning the lens for professional action photography.
