Buying on Our Website
Choosing an Item
We take extreme care to show the condition of our products. Each one is photographed in high resolution, and described by our team. You can be sure to receive exactly what you expected. If you have a question about a particular item, or you would like to discuss the best choice, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Something to Trade-In?
If you have trade-ins, you can include these in your order, and pay only the difference. Read about trading-in below, or get started with our trade-in request tool.
Payment
You can pay for your order by credit or debit card, by bank transfer, or in up to 12 instalments with Alma.
Shipping
We take great care with packaging, and all shipments are tracked and insured. If your order is confirmed and paid by around 1pm, it will ship the same day.
Collection In-Store
You can of course collect your order in-store in Lyon. You can pay online when ordering, or during collection.
Returns
All orders, online or in-store, can be returned within 14 days of delivery (or collection), in the original condition.
Guarantee
Everything we sell is covered by a 12 month guarantee. If we are unable to repair or replace your item in a timely manner, we will refund the purchase price.

Trading-In on Our Website
What We Buy
ES Photo buys almost all Canon EF and RF lenses, and many EF-S and RF-S models. We buy professional cameras going back to the 5D Mark II and 1DX, and mid-range digital cameras up to about 10 years old. We are often able to take other items as part of a set, including 3rd party lenses, entry level models, and accessories. Please ask!
Requesting a Trade-In
You can use our handy trade-in request tool to quickly provide us the most relevant information about your item. We only need the product's name and approximate condition, but you can provide photos and other details if you wish.
One of our team will assess your request and make you an offer. We aim to reply within 2 hours, between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
You are also very welcome to discuss your trade-in with us by email, phone, or in-store. Contact us.
Accepting an Offer
We will email you our offer. You can accept it online, or simply let us know by reply email, and we will take care of the rest. If you wish, you can buy something else at the same time, and pay only the difference.
Shipping
We will provide you with shipping labels to send us your items. Provided you are careful with the packaging, the risk during shipping is our responsibility. You can drop your parcel at a UPS Access Point, or we can arrange for collection from your address.
Inspection & Acceptance
Trade-ins are subject to our inspection. We are almost always able to complete our inspections on the day your items arrive. In the event we find an issue during our inspection, we may need to change our offer. Should this happen, you are of course free to accept or refuse the new offer, and we will return any items at our expense.
Payment
We will pay you by bank transfer, generally on the same day that your items arrive.
Identification
We will need to see proof of identity as part of our trade-in process.
